Dot.Com Bubble

Working as a mortgage lender in Denver, Colorado; the first experienced economic, interest rate, and real estate cycle was during the economic recession that followed the pop of the dot.com stock bubble. Real Estate prices softened in the short-run; however, held in the long-run. Interest rates experienced a tectonic shift downward fueling a refinance boom. During this period, marketing efforts for home buyers were conducted with a national advertiser who shared insights on the Tampa market. Their advertising had significant traction and no participating lenders had a brick-and-mortar office.  On this feedback, the analyst moved to Tampa to help with the opening of an office.

Global Financial Crisis (GFC)

The analyst experienced the economic, interest rate, and real estate cycle of the GFC from a unique, interior perspective.
